List of certified peer-trainers

The beginning of the workshop sets the tone. While each person’s style may be different, it is important for the opening of the workshop to be non-confrontational. Trainers should allow time to build trust and install a comfortable atmosphere.

The introductory part is maybe the most important of all, as it is essential in this type of training to create a safe space where people feel comfortable to share their opinions, beliefs, personal experiences or feelings.

Objectives

  • To establish a positive tone in order to help participants to be actively engaged in the training.
  • To create a safe space for the participants to share their opinions, beliefs, personal experiences or feelings
  • To outline goals, objectives and logistics.
  • To link the training to the needs of the participants.
